The Creating Access & Resource Exchange (CARE) Project will work to compile specific information intended to increase access to resources available for pregnant- post partum women and infants (PPWI) in Cameron, Hidalgo, and Willacy Counties. Information gathered is posted on the CARE Project website for community organizations and pregnant-
Project Goals

The CARE Project goals are to:

1. Increase access to resources for pregnant-post partum women and infants (PPWI) by creating a website higlighting detailed information related to accessing resources.

2. Maintain updated information related to community resources available to PPWI.

3. Educate and inform community organizations and pregnant-post partum women about the CARE Project website and how to navigate it.

PPI Program
 
   
The PPI Program provides intervention for pregnant and post-partum adult and adolescent women at risk for substance abuse. Risk factors include: domestic violence, mental health problems, teen pregnancy, and poverty. The program is designed to reduce the incidence of fetal and infant alcohol , tobacco, and drug (ATOD) to facil itate a healthy lifestyle for all participants.
